Head Held High
Head Held High is Auckland's most experienced speech and drama company, offering a bespoke curriculum that develops confident, respectful, curious, and fun young New Zealanders. Their lessons incorporate fun games and imaginative scenarios to teach conversation skills, drama skills, positive body language, respect for oneself and others, positive relationships with peers and adults, public speaking skills, good manners, and creativity. Their programs are suitable for students of all ages.
In-Term Speech and Drama Lessons at Pinehurst School:

Little Cooks
Little Cooks offers a unique and fun cooking experience for children through their after-school program. They teach the basics of baking and cooking delicious foods, alternating between sweet and savoury dishes each week. The teachers are passionate about teaching this incredibly important life skill and the program aims to make children aware of where food comes from and develop key competencies like math and English.

Thread Room
Thread Room offers fun and educational sewing classes that serve as both a creative outlet and a practical skill. Sewing opens a world of possibilities once you grasp the basics. It not only nurtures creativity but also builds confidence, develops a wide range of skills, and encourages problem-solving and innovative thinking.

Art4kidz
Art4kidz offers afterschool drawing/art classes for children aged 5 to 7 and 7 to 10. Our classes aim to improve self-confidence, creativity, concentration, fine motor skills, and the ability to express oneself in a fun and creative environment. The younger group focuses on basic drawing skills using the 7 elements of art, while the older group learns beginner pencil sketching, acrylic painting on canvas, and watercolour painting.
Term Details:
Age 5 to 7
- Days: Tuesdays and Wednesdays
- Time: 3:15 pm to 4:40pm
- Collection: Students are collected from their classroom at 3:15pm, and parents collect them from Room 300 at 4:40pm.
Age 7 to 10:
- Day: Thursdays
- Time: 3:15pm to 5:00pm
- Meeting Point: Students meet the Art4kidz teacher at Room 300, and parents collect them at 5:00pm.
