We are thrilled to congratulate Jack Potier (Class of 2024) on being presented with the University of Sydney Business School Scholarship for Outstanding Academic and Sporting Achievement. This prestigious award celebrates Jack’s remarkable academic results — including an exceptional **99.7 ATAR — alongside his selection to represent New Zealand at the 2024 World Aquatics Junior Open Water Swimming Championships in Sardinia, Italy.
Jack’s dedication to both his studies and his sport has taken him onto the world stage. After leaving Pinehurst, he competed in the World Aquatics Junior Open Water Championships, proudly representing New Zealand against some of the best young swimmers from around the globe. In the Men’s 7.5km event, he finished strongly in a competitive field, demonstrating resilience and tactical skill in challenging open water conditions.
In addition to his scholarship success, Jack has also continued his swimming journey with the University of Sydney’s High Performance Swim Team, joining their elite programme as he begins this exciting next chapter of his life.
Jack’s story is a wonderful example of what can be achieved through hard work, commitment and a genuine passion for learning and sport. We’re incredibly proud of all he has accomplished and excited to see where his talents take him next.
