Life in Primary

Primary Reading

small class sizes big possibilities

Pinehurst Primary is a place where children feel known, supported, and inspired to do their best every day. From their very first day, students are welcomed into a warm, vibrant community where every child belongs—and every voice matters.

We nurture the whole child: encouraging not only academic growth, but character, wellbeing, and a curiosity about the world. Strong relationships and open communication are at the heart of everything we do, guided by the Pinehurst Triangle partnership between students, staff, and families.

Everyday Pinehurst Primary is filled with purpose and fun. Whether it’s building friendships, discovering a new passion in music or sport, joining in on a camp adventure, or simply feeling at home in our calm and caring spaces, each moment is a chance to explore, learn, and grow.

Our single-year classes and dedicated teachers mean every child is seen, valued, and encouraged to find their spark. Here, the journey is just as important as the destination—and it’s one we travel together as part of the Pinehurst Triangle.

Partnership At THE Heart Of Primary

At Pinehurst Primary, the triangle is at the heart of everything we do: students, staff, and families all working together to create the best possible learning environment. Our partnerships with parents are open and supportive, teachers know each child as an individual, and students are encouraged to take an active role in their learning and community. This sense of shared purpose is what makes Pinehurst feel like a true community—where everyone has a voice, and every child can flourish.

At Pinehurst Primary, every day is alive with possibility. Students are immersed in a rich and varied programme that balances core learning—like reading, writing, and maths—with hands-on experiences in science, art, music, languages, sport, and digital technology. From their first year, children explore Spanish, Chinese, and global perspectives, while specialist teachers spark curiosity in science, the arts, and PE. As they grow, opportunities in coding, STEM projects, and creative challenges help students deepen their skills and discover new passions. With small classes, individual support, and plenty of encouragement, every learner is inspired to try new things, build confidence, and find their place in a community where learning is both fun and meaningful.

A PLACE FOR EVERY LEARNER

We don’t combine year groups, because we believe every learner deserves a curriculum designed just for them.
