At Pinehurst, art is where creativity is nurtured, ideas take shape, and students are encouraged to explore the world through their own unique lens.
From the early years through to senior levels, students develop their artistic voice across a variety of media — including drawing, painting, mixed media, digital art, and design. Whether experimenting with colour, texture, or form, they learn to think visually, take creative risks, and express themselves with confidence.
In Years 7–9, students take Art as part of a taster programme alongside Drama. This gives them a strong foundation and the opportunity to discover their interests before choosing to continue in the senior years.
As they progress, students create individual portfolios that reflect both their technical skill and personal perspective. With support from our specialist teachers, they learn how to develop and present work with clarity, purpose, and depth — preparing them not just for academic success, but for creative thinking in any path they choose.
We grow confident visual communicators who know how to look closely, think deeply, and create boldly.
