Co-Curricular Music Groups At Pinehurst

Pinehurst School offers a wide range of co-curricular music groups that students have the opportunity to take part in. Our music groups are run by Pinehurst teaching staff or by instrumental specialists, all with an impressive range of experience and knowledge, who work to ensure our students get the most out of these musical opportunities.

Code of Conduct

To ensure that there is musical integrity and faireness in these groups, all students are expected to:

  • Follow the rules set in place by the teacher/leader of the group
  • Bring their music and instrument (where appropriate) to each rehearsal
  • Practise their music pieces at home
  • Attend all rehearsals
  • Notify the teacher in charge (well in advance) if unable to attend a rehearsal
  • Commit to performing regularly and when deemed ready by the teacher
  • Take note of upcoming performance dates and notify the teacher (well in advance) if they are unable to attend
  • Wear their school uniform correctly to rehearsals and performances
  • Respect the school’s equipment and facilities
  • Conduct themselves in a manner that shows commitment to the group, teacher and school
  • Use respectful, appropriate and acceptable language
  • Work to resolve any musical or personal issues with the wellbeing of the group in mind
