Student Lydia Ko Wins Junior Sports Woman of Year
Pinehurst School celebrated on Friday night as Senior College Student Lydia Ko was awarded 'Class Hits Junior Sportswoman of the Year' at the 2011 Massey University Harbour Sport Excellence Awards held at North Harbour Stadium in Albany.
The 2011 Regional Sport Excellence Awards is organised by Harbour Sport to recognise and celebrate outstanding sporting achievements of past and present Harbour people.
2011 has been a great Year for 14 year old Lydia who has also recently become recipient of the Mark H McCormack Medal for women, awarded to the top-ranked golfer in the women’s World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) in addition to a string of wins and prestigious titles in the golfing world.
