Pinehurst Music

Pinehurst's music department has a range of groups including a Jazz Band, Orchestra, Senior Vocal Group, Primary and Junior College Choirs, the  Jazzbusters, a Rock Band and a Keyboard Club. In addition, individual instrumental and vocal tuition is offered through our extensive itinerant scheme. We have 15 itinerant tutors and the choice of instruments include violin, viola, ‘cello, percussion, brass, woodwind, guitar and piano.

There are termly concerts as well as smaller, informal evenings for each instrument.

Music is available as an IGCSE option for students in Year 10-11 and as an AS and A-level option for Year 12-13. For Year 5-9 there is a weekly classroom programme with a specialist music teacher.

Students in Year 1- 4 have regular classroom music with their class teacher.
