Future Directions

Pinehurst currently has a roll of 750 and intends to grow to a maximum of 850 over the next 5 years.

Five Projects in Five Years

Five Projects in Five Years was launched in 2007.  To date the Courts complex, Pavilion and revamped school Library have been completed with the Rosedale Access Lane and additional senior college classrooms still to be completed.

Courts Complex

The complex consists of six multi purpose courts, an associated pavilion and parking for 75 cars alongside Bush Road. This was completed in 2009.

This complex was further developed to have a multisport, acrylic surface and be fully fenced. The Sports Pavilion is a shared facility, and will incorporate a senior common room and sports offices. A further project is to provide lighting.

Pinehurst Lane

The Lane will enter the School from Rosedale Road, enhancing the ability for students to be safely transported to and from School, as well as access to the Gymnasium and fields.

It is intended that the Lane will be open from 7.30am – 8.45am and from 3pm – 3.45pm, daily.

Library

The new expanded space was completed in 2009. It is designed as an information centre for research, study and the enjoyment of literature.

College EXPANSION

It is now envisaged that the 20 specialist teaching spaces required will be built in clusture gradually over time.  The initial cluster will be for Art, Photography, Graphics and Design.

Pinehurst Theatre

This is a long term "dream" that will become part of a major fundraising drive.

The vision is to build a beautiful theatre for 850 students, with tiered seating, as well as on the floor of the theatre, which has a slightly raised stage.

The foyer will be a facility for events like Alumni and parent functions, as well as Art exhibitions. The floor of the theatre will be available for Dinners and Balls.
