Pinehurst School Executive Management Team
Pinehurst is led by Executive Principal Ms Sherida Penman Walters, assisted by the Headmistress of College and the Headmistress of Primary who are responsible for specific areas within the School and the Business Manager.

Ms Sherida Penman Walters

Ms Penman Walters has been Executive Principal of Pinehurst since the school’s beginning in 1991. A passionate educator, Ms Penman Walters has taught in a range of state and independent, primary and secondary schools. She was drawn to lead Pinehurst by its philosophy of involving parents in their children’s education – believing that an education that unlocks the potential for every child is possible.
Always encouraging students, staff and parents to be lifelong learners, Ms Penman Walters has just completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Studies, specialising in Dispute Resolution. She is a mother of 3 adult sons and is also a keen traveller, walker and reader.
Headmistress of Primary
Ms. Sian Coxon
B.Ed. Hons English & Education, Dip. Maths Education, TEFL.
A passionate educator, Ms. Coxon has had extensive experience of implementing and delivering excellence through the Cambridge Primary and Lower Secondary programmes.
Before joining Pinehurst in 2000, she has worked in New Zealand, the United States and the United Kingdom, in both teaching and leadership positions, giving her a wide variety of education systems and cultures to draw upon in creating and sustaining a vibrant and stimulating learning environment, where students are encourage to become independent, enquiring learners. Sian reads widely and continues her quest for life-long learning. She has a son in Pinehurst Primary.
Headmistress of Senior College
Ms Jacqueline White
M.A (Hons), B.A, Dip Tchg
Before joining Pinehurst, Ms White gained extensive management and leadership experience at ACG Senior College and at St Peter's College where she held the position of Deputy Principal, with special responsibilities for Curriculum school wide and CIE programmes.
She is also a highly valued member of the New Zealand CIE Academic Committee.
